Windansea Beach Family Session

Windansea beach has easily become my favorite place in San Diego for any session, but especially for families with little ones. We had the most amazing sunset and it made for the most amazing family session I’ve had to date. Here are some favorites of the Barbour family, soon to be 4! (5 including their sweet dog)

Golden Hour Family Session

Aldemi reached out to me to gift her in-laws a family session for their anniversary. This location is one of my all time favorite local spots for sessions, especially in the warmer months. The grassy fields and trees are lush and green, golden hour just enhances how beautiful it all is. Here are some of my favorite moments of the Salcedo family.

Palomar Mountain Family Session

When Krissel contacted me for another family session/baby announcement (what!?) I was so excited. She is also a photographer and her work is a big inspiration for me, it’s no wonder I chose her 3 years ago as my own wedding photographer.

Krissel and her family are very much into the great outdoors and love to camp and hike so we decided on Palomar mountain for their photos. Palomar mountain is one of my all time favorite locations to shoot because the valley and forest surrounding it reminds me a bit of Yosemite. It’s only an hour and a half away but you feel so far away from the city. A perfect place to wander and take some beautiful photos…

La Jolla Senior Session

James Kate was the winner of my mini session giveaway! She took the opportunity to use this session for her graduation photos. The tide was high at Windansea Beach this day, but we managed to climb the rocks and make our way down to one of my favorite spots to shoot. By the way, she and her mom are amazing bakers and took me some homemade sourdough cinnamon rolls and pop tarts that were to die for. Check out their instagram page here.

Anniversary Session in the Mountains

One of my earliest memories of Tony and Maria is when we ran into each other at the XX concert in 2012. Music has drawn me close to people over the years and is definitely one of the many reasons I’ve befriended these guys. In addition to our mutual love for bands like the XX, Beach House, and Camera Obscura, we have bonded over our love for photography. Tony and Maria are also photographers and are so talented and I admire their passion for their work and love for the arts. Check our their work here.

This session was to celebrate their 8th wedding anniversary. They rented this adorable AirBnb in the mountains of Julian and we wandered the open fields running into some cows along the way. It was so fun documenting their love for each other.
